Hydrolab DS5X – Multiparameter Data Sonde

• Download the file “setup.exe” to your PC.
• If the Hydras 3 LT application software is still running: quit the program.
• Start the file “setup.exe” -> the “InstallShield Wizard” opens.
• Follow the installation instructions on the screen. Please use the existing installation path of Hydras 3 LT! Change preset installation path if necessary!

Please note

• To preserve existing configurations, e.g. “workspaces”, please check strictly the preset installation path during the update!
  Preset installation path: “C:Program FilesOTTHydras3LT”; at prior installations: “C:Program FilesHydras3LT”!

• Synchronisation software Windows Mobile Device Center (free download from “www.microsoft.com“)
• Pocket PC/PC line connection or link via infrared interface (optional) or Blue Tooth (optional).

How to install the update:

• Download the file “Hydras3 LT Pocket.CAB” to your PC.
• If Hydras 3 LT Pocket is still running: close the software (to hide it in the background is not sufficient!)
• Start Windows Mobile Device Center on the PC.
• Set up a new partnership (guest partnership) between the PocketPC and the PC (e.g. via a USB line connection or infrared connection).
• Copy the file “Hydras3 LT Pocket.CAB” to the Pocket PC in the “Temp” directory (not in the program directory!).
• Start file “Hydras3 LT Pocket.CAB? on the Pocket PC. The Pocket PC will now update Hydras 3 LT Pocket in the program directory (confirm message “Already installed” with O.K.).

Please note:

• After an update no renewed input of the license key is necessary.
• Hydras 3 Pocket automatically sets the language of the user interface upon installation to the language of the Pocket PC?s operating system. Available languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Russian. For all other operating system languages Hydras 3 LT Pocket uses English.
