The Hydrolab conductivity sensor uses four graphite electrodes in an open cell design to provide extremely accurate and reliable data with very low maintenance. The sensor is used to measure specific conductance, salinity, total dissolved solids (TDS), and resistivity

Advantages

  • Design based on four graphite electrodes in an open cell design
  • Open cell design reduces measurement error due to sediment and air bubbles. Sediment falls to the bottom of the conductivity cell and bubbles rise to the top, away from the measuring electrodes.
  • Sensor measurements used to derive salinity, total dissolved solids (TDS), and resistivity
  • Easily maintained between deployments by cleaning with a cotton swab
